All Staged Readings are Free for All

In addition to the mainstage season, The Hub will continue its popular Staged Reading Series. The Reading Series is free to the public and provides a wonderful opportunity to experience new plays that may find their way to the mainstage in a future season. Unless noted, all Reading Stage performances take place at 7:30 PM at the Greater Reston Arts Center in Reston, VA.

Dire Wolves

It’s the brutally fast moving 21st century even in Evansville, Indiana, the 3rd largest city in Indiana. This is the setting for Dire Wolves, a Hub Theatre commission by Kristen LePine that examines how quick changes impact personal identity. Six people are blindsided by the fierce pace of change. They can either adapt and evolve, or face the possibility of extinction. Featuring Michael John Casey, Colleen Delaney, Tia Shearer, James Flanagan, Chris Wilson, Ilona Dulaski, and Danny Gavigan.

Dental Society Midwinter Meeting (a play with teeth)

Following a scandal of molar-sized proportions, the North Shore Regional Dental Society has gathered to debate the future of Midwestern dentistry as they know it. After NSRDS president Morris J. Morris, Jr. is caught with his pants down - and his dental drill up - the dentists can't help but question: in a field obsessed with profit over health, where morality has taken a backseat to the latest fads in composite fillings, how can a group of upright dental professionals (looking for something more... filling) actually make a difference?

But the arrival of a talking wall and a hungry golem threatens to derail his endeavor. A klezmer-inspired love triangle between a man, his wife, and his hat.
